The Accounting and Human Resources Assistant will provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department, as well as provide HR functions for the organization. 

You will:

  • Enter compound journal entries on a daily basis for loan fundings and purchases
  • Perform Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
  • Update and maintain other accounting journals, ledgers and records detailing financial business transactions
  • Provide additional support for the finance and accounting functions when needed
  • Administer various Human Resource functions such as onboarding new hires, processing terminations, time sheets, payroll and benefit related tasks through outsourced Payroll vendor

Skills/ Requirements

You have:

  • At least 5 years of combined Accounting and General HR Experience related to the specific areas mentioned above
  • An exceptional attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Competency in QuickBooks and Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Demonstrable organizational, verbal and written communication skills
