Assistant Sales Manager Reverse Mortgage Division

supervising a diverse established team of Loan Officers, some in remote locations.

Division Objectives

    • Maximize both present and long-term sales
    • Establish sales and training objectives for the division
    • Organize, direct, and manage your team to achieve the objectives
    • Set and monitor individual goals to meet the team objective
    • Achieve forecasted sales by creating and executing a plan of action
    • Create an atmosphere that promotes career stability
    • Promote and optimize a consultative, relationship and needs based sales process 

  • JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management

          

    • Ensure operations function smoothly and staff productivity is high
    • Manage marketing decisions and budgeting
    • Control expenses to meet budget guidelines
    • Recruit, hire and train staff as required
    • Perform employee reviews
    • Approve and administer payroll and commission plans
    • Work with Sales and Processing department on loan level issues
    • Prepare in advance and conduct regular sales meetings.
    • Interpret and analyze staff and customers’ needs on a continual basis.
    • Handle (or supervise the handling of) all customer concerns related to your department.
    • Provide continuing and ongoing education to constantly reinforce product, regulation          and sales knowledge for the team
    • Improve overall productivity per team member
    • Maintain a self-development program, strive toward continuing your professional growth, improve your sales skills, managerial skills, business skills and reverse mortgage program knowledge
    • Stay current on reverse mortgage financial regulations and maintain a proactive productive approach to leadership

  • Technology
    •  Motivate and Inspire your team to maximize their potential
    • Understand and fully utilize Lead Management, Loan Pipeline and Customer Relationship Management systems
    • Ensure processes and systems are effective and achieve desired outcomes
    • Monitor lead follow up and prospecting efforts
    • Utilize reports to analyze and understand data to enhance successful decision making
    • Maximize the lead to application and application to closing efficiency
    • Review the customer and prospect databases for trends that indicate where additional opportunities exist
    • Manage prospect and customer contact schedules to maximize sales and nurture referrals
    • Supervise the proper use of software systems by staff 

  • Coach Salespeople

    • Offer coaching, counseling, advice, support, motivation, training and information needed to help your team meet or exceed their sales objectives
    • Meet daily with salespeople, face-to-face contact with in house sales team and maintain communication with remote office sales teams
    • Develop the most well-trained, professional sales force possible
    • Measure the effectiveness of the new hire training efforts
    • Assist salespeople in the selling/closing process whenever needed
    • Implement group sales training specific to each lead source

        Must possess good judgment, leadership and business skills

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

            Bachelor's Degree required

            5+ years of experience in sales management.

            5+ years Mortgage experience or experience in a related field, such as financial services, strongly desired.

            High moral and ethical standards. Must meet the requirements of a Qualified Individual as determined by S.A.F.E and State Governing bodies
